Current Staff and Government
Sheridan Student Union is an organized body that represents the full-time and part-time students of Sheridan college. Along with this SSUI is also represented by 3 major bodies, they are:
  1. Board of Director
  2. Executive 
  3. Professional Staff

Board of Directors


Many people don't know what the BOD(s) are, what they do, where is there office and many questions. So the SSUI Board of Directors is composed of 12 elected student members who represent the SSUI membership. The Board is responsible for maintaining constant contact with the student population and bringing student feedback to Board level. From this, the Board will continue to develop a long-term strategic vision, and exercise good corporate governance. Each member at Board is a full-time and fee-paying student. There are 4 members fro each campus, Davis, HMC, and TRC.


The Board will instruct the President through written policies that prescribe the organizational Ends to be achieved and the organizational situations and actions to be avoided. The Board is responsible for delegating to the President and monitoring his or her performance.

Directors will attend convocation ceremonies as the student representative, participate in volunteer activities and communicate actively on the SSUI's networking site. The Wire, as well as maintain their commitment to be the student voice by actively seeking feedback from the students from a variety of programs across campus.

Overview: 

The Sheridan Student Union (SSUI) is an organized body that represents the full-time and part-time students of Sheridan College.

Established in1975, the mandate of the Sheridan Student Union is to promote and advocate the benefits and interest of the student body -- be it academic, social, cultural, or otherwise. Today, the Sheridan Student Union continues to be a powerful and influential voice within the Sheridan community. Out strong working relationship with the college has assured us a voice at every level of the college.

Simply put:
 "we exist to serve you, the students. We unite the student body through our programs and services and are responsible for the representation of students to Sheridan College community. We work hard to be a voice for Sheridan students while making your academic experience the best it can be. We strive to safeguard the best interests of the student body throughout the whole year, so let us know if there is something you feel needs to be addressed. Because, remember: we are here for you!"


Mission: 

"The SSUI exists so that the quality of life of students at Sheridan College is improved"

We exist for three sole reasons:
